My Values

  • Family:  Family is the value that I hold most important in my life.  To me, Family encompasses many more values inside of it.  For example, I incorporate the values of love, friendship, and loyalty all in the value of family.
  • Happiness: Happiness is an important value to me because anything in life can be accomplished with a positive attitude.  The value of happiness also engulfs the value of humor.  Laughter is the best medicine.
  • Independence:  Though I rely a lot on my family, I also am very driven to be my own person and have my own unique qualities that make me who I am.  I also like to know that I am strong enough to do things on my own.
  • Integrity:  I think that having integrity is a necessity to keeping myself accountable for my actions. Someone very close to me would always tell me “Don’t sacrifice integrity for points!”, and I think that is a lesson that has stuck with me.
  • Respect:  Something I have strongly believed in since I was little is that everyone deserves to be respected.  Everyone has different views and a different story, and that is a part of what makes them who they are.  However, this does not define a person, and I think that is something we all have to respect.values
