Involvements

I keep myself busy at CMU with jobs and involvements that help me grow.

I work at the Student Activity Center as a Fitness Specialist.  This means I work in the weight rooms on campus and help ensure safety and clean the equipment.

Arguably my favorite thing about CMU is Leadership Safari.  I attended the conference as a participant the fall of my freshman year, and since I have been a Leadership Safari guide in fall of 2017 and the first ever Spring Leadership Safari in 2018.  I will be on staff next fall once again and hopefully for more safaris after that.

The only other program that battles my love for Leadership Safari at CMU is the Alternative Breaks Program.  I have been a participant on two Alternative Breaks, and next year I will be serving on the Alternative Breaks Advisory Board as the Site, Service, and Development Co-Chair for Winter Alternative Breaks.  I also applied to be a site leader, so hopefully I will find out soon.

This summer I will be staying on campus to be a Family Orientation Mentor at CMU.  This experience will be a completely new one for me, and I am so excited to learn so much more about CMU.

I am a member of the Pre-Medical and Osteopathic Society and the Student Advocates for Vegan/Vegetarianism as well.  I am involved at Mid-Michigan Health Center in Gratiot as a student volunteer in the Emergency Department as well.

As my time at CMU continues I hope to become more involved in the RSOs that I am currently a general member of.  I have found the things at CMU that I am passionate about and help me grow, and I look forward to the two years I have left with these groups.
